 Texture analysis is the mechanical testing of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, adhesives and other consumer products either in compression or in tension.
The Texture Analyser assess textural properties by capturing force, distance and time data at a rate of up to 2000 points per second which is then displayed by fully integrated Exponent Connect 32-bit software. Exponet Connect includes an extensive Help section with Tutorials and an Education Zone with sample projects,information on available probes and fixtures, guides for data analysis and customising your test procedure.

Trending in your texture analysis data
Exponent Connect software has a feature that you may not be aware of: Trend Viewer. This relatively new feature allows you to view trends that may (or ‘may not’) be occurring in your texture analysis data.

In the background of Exponent a 'trend' spreadsheet automatically runs (in conjunction with any other results files you have set up to collect data). The trend spreadsheet is set up to configure the data you wish to monitor e.g. maximum force, and over the time scale you wish to monitor and compare batches.
