Milk represents one of the largest food allergens, especially for children and is therefore important that products are labelled correctly. The risk of hidden proteins in food such as sausages, cookies and ready-to-eat meals represent a critical problem for allergic people. Approximately 80% of bovine milk proteins are composed of α, β, and κ-Caseins which are heat stable, retaining their potency after food manufacturing processes. The 3M™ Casein Protein ELISA test kit offers food manufacturers a tool to quantify and prevent the release of contaminated product.

Each test kit comes with a plate contining removable antibody coated wells, extraction buffer, diluent, Soy protein standard, wash solution, horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody, chromagenic substrate solution, stop solution, 

Swabs for surface testing are available separately.
