Neogen Petrifilm™ Aqua Heterotrophic Count Plates provide fast, accurate results enumerating heterotrophic bacteria in bottled water industry. The plates are are a sample-ready culture medium system, which contain standard methods nutrients, a cold-water soluble gelling agent and a tetrazolium indicator that facilitates colony enumeration in the bottled water industry.

• Plates are sample ready

Water samples can be tested either directly by 1 ml inoculation or rehydrated with a sterile diluent and a larger volume filtered and the membrane placed onto the rehydrated gel for incubation. All red colonies are counted regardless of size or colour intensity.
