For in‑vitro quantitative determination of coconut residues in food matrices such as bakery products, cereals, cake mix, corn, corn flour, chocolate, cookies, ice cream, milk, rice, rice flour, sausage, spices, sweets, yogurt, wheat, and wheat flour. Intended for professional laboratory use in food testing, allergen monitoring, and quality control.

 

The Allergen‑Shield Coconut ELISA is a quantitative sandwich enzyme‑linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) designed for the detection of coconut residues in food products labeled as coconut‑free. The test provides accurate quantitative measurement of coconut proteins to ensure compliance with international allergen labeling regulations (EU No. 1169/2011, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand). The ELISA kit includes all reagents required for testing and is suitable for 48 or 96 determinations.

Principle of the Test

The Allergen‑Shield Coconut ELISA is based on a sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The wells of the microtiter plate are pre‑coated with antibodies specific to coconut proteins. Standards and prepared samples are added to the wells, and if coconut proteins are present, they bind to the immobilized antibodies. After washing, a peroxidase‑conjugated secondary antibody is added. The addition of TMB substrate generates a color proportional to the amount of bound antigen. The reaction is stopped with acid, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Storage and Stability

Store kit and reagents at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. Protect standards and TMB substrate from light. Reseal unused strips with desiccant immediately after use. Expiry dates are printed on labels.
