Pawkit is designed for the measurements on the go for tasks such as quality assurance checks and inspections. It is also a desirable option for laboratories that may not require the ±0.003aw accuracy of a benchtop model. The sleek instrument is supplied in a durable carry case with foam inserts to help secure the instrument, along with sample cups and verification standards.

Quick and Easy Measurement

Simply open the bottom of the PawKit, insert your sample and press a button. In 5 minutes, both the water activity and temperature measurements will be displayed. Using the available verification standards, calibration and adjustments can be made easily.

How it works

To make a measurement, flip back the sensor cover and fit the PAWKIT over a standard AQUALAB sample cup. Push the button for a water activity reading in 5 minutes.

Limitations

The PAWKIT is designed to make readings where a bench top meter is not practical. Its small size and battery power deliver the ultimate in portability, but limit the PAWKIT’s accuracy (± 0.02 a_w) due to its capacitance sensor and lack of temperature control .

The PAWKIT portable water activity meter should only be used in situations where a higher accuracy reading is not critical to ensure or document safety and quality.
