The BioTool Swiss e-Loop is an advanced electrical sterilization system designed for rapid and safe sterilization of inoculating loops, needles, and small instruments in microbiological laboratories. The e-Loop replaces traditional gas burners, providing a clean, flameless, and energy-efficient sterilization method. It is ideally suited for use in biosafety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, and other controlled laboratory environments where open flames are not permitted.

Principle of Operation

The e-Loop operates through electrical heating elements encased in a quartz glass tube that reaches sterilization temperatures within seconds. The heating zone achieves approximately 750°C to 900°C, effectively sterilizing metal inoculating loops or needles without producing aerosol or splatter. The unique design ensures uniform heat distribution and rapid cool-down between uses, providing consistent, repeatable sterilization cycles.
