Isolation and Differentation of Staph aureus for Clincial and Food Samples

HardyCHROM Staph aureus allows for the rapid and reliable detection of Staphylococcus aureus. This medium contains a special chromagenic mix that allows for the differentiation of Staphylococcus spp.  

Staphylococcus aureus can be identified as smooth, pink coloured colonies on the plate. Other organisms may appear as colourless, blue or cream colonies, or will be inhibited. Staphylococcus saprophyticus will appear as turquoise coloured colonies. Staphylococcus epidermidis will be inhibited.
